In-house Hydraulics Sales & Service

The Stewart Matthews Group have a fully equipped hydraulic workshop operated by very experienced Technicians. This ensures the same quality of work and speed of service in the workshop, as our Hose Doctors deliver in the field. Our services include:

Cylinder Servicing

New cylinders built from scratch to any size. Refurbishment (including de-chroming and re-chroming), new shafts - also odd size shafts. We can test and report on the condition of your cylinders.

Pump Testing

We have equipment to test hydraulic circuits including pressure, flow, temperature, horsepower, and powerloss through a pump. We can do all this with the pump in place and provide a detailed report on the issues and possible solutions.

Power Packs

A full range of services from design to supply and servicing. We can schedule regular filter replacements and also monitor oil condition and recommend when it should be changed. We also have available emergency power packs for hire, including mobile power packs with their own generator.

General Hydraulic & Engineering Work

We service all common brands of pumps and control valves. This also extends to full hydraulic system design. Our equipment includes large lathes and milling machines, in-house and mobile welding. With this equipment, we are also able to offer general machining services.

We also have available the worldwide resources of Parker Hannifin and other manufacturers if you require new hydraulic products.
